Illustrations | * Auf der verso Seite des ersten Folio sind zwei Mönche wiedergeben. Auf der linken Seite sieht man
Chu klung ’od srungs (Nadī Kāśyapa), auf der rechten Ga ya ’od srungs (Gayā Kāśyapa). |
Remarks | * Der Druck besitzt zwei rötlich-braune Buchdeckel (19x58x2cm), die bis auf eine abgesteppte Zierleiste nicht verziert sind. Auf der oberen linken Ecke des Oberdeckels befindet sich die westliche Beschriftung „Ārya bhadrakalpikamahāyāna (sütra?)“.
* Der Druck ist in gelber Seide eingewickelt. Es haben sich weiterhin drei Stoffstreifen erhalten, die als Buchetikett dienten (gdong dar). Der erste Streifen aus einen mit Drachenmedaillons verzierten Brokatstoff trägt die genähte Inschrift „ka“, die in einer dreifach gelappten Kartusche plaziert und mit einen mäanderförmigen Ziermotiv versehen ist. Der zweite Streifen aus einfacher gelber Seide trägt die in schwarzer Tinte ausgeführte Inschriften „mdo mang“ und „ka“. Der dritte Streifen aus einfacher, verblasster roter Seide trägt keine Inschrift. Möglicherweise befand sich hier eine Kurzbezeichnung des Drucktextes. * Die verso Seite des ersten Folio (1v) und die recto Seite des zweiten Folio (2r) wurden komplett in Rot gedruckt. Der Druckspiegel beider Seiten wurde jeweils mit einen besonderen Zierrahmen versehen, der eine unterschiedlich gestaltete Rankenmotiv aufweist. * Rechts am oberen Rand des Rahmens des Druckspiegels erkennt man ein Einstichloch. |
